Tenzin Samten joined the Central University of Tibetan studies in 2000. He completed his Shastri degree (BA equivalent) in 2008. After that he served one year at Kopan Monastery in Nepal as a teacher of Tibetan language. In 2011 he received his Acharya degree (MA equivalent) after which he joined Tashilhunpo monastery in South India to teach Tibetan to the monks. After that he took up a post at the Manjushree Center of Tibetan Culture as a Tibetan language teacher from March 2012 to December 2014 teaching both foreigners and local students.
