This is a day of meditation instruction and guidance suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to refresh their instructions. It is also a good follow-up for anyone who already attended an introduction to meditation course.
Lama Zangmo will give meditation instructions and will especially focus on how we can deal with painful emotions such as anger, attachment, stress, fear and confusion.
To apply an antidote we need to be able to recognise the emotion, reflect on the negative impact it has, and then apply the appropriate remedy. With time and practice we become able to pacify and transform them.
There will be explanation of techniques and remedies, as well as general introductory guidelines and time for actual meditation.
Since January 2015 all our Dharma and meditation courses have been offered without a suggested course fee.
In the Buddhist tradition one practices generosity, or Dana, by making monetary offerings for the teachings. This generosity is not payment for goods or services rendered; it is an offering given freely from the heart in appreciation of the Dharma.
