The Four Dharmas of Gampopa, with Gelong Thubten
WhoTeacher: Gelong Thubten
Anyone is welcome to attend this event!
During this weekend Gelong Thubten will provide an explanation of a well-known teaching by Gampopa, who was one of the great Forefathers of the Kagyu Lineage.
"May the mind turn towards the Dharma
May the Dharma follow the path
On the path, may confusion be dispelled
May confusion arise as primordial wisdom"
This concise yet profound teaching presents an overview of the main elements of the path. Explanations will be given on the four ways of changing the mind, the development of love, compassion and bodhicitta, the purification and transformation of emotions and the Vajrayana deity meditations. The teaching thus follows a clear path through the Three Vehicles or Yanas.
Since January 2015 all our Dharma and meditation courses have been offered without a suggested course fee.
In the Buddhist tradition one practices generosity, or Dana, by making monetary offerings for the teachings. This generosity is not payment for goods or services rendered; it is an offering given freely from the heart in appreciation of the Dharma.
