Medicine Buddha instructions and practice with Lama Zangmo
WhoTeacher: Lama Gelongma Zangmo
Employing the skilful techniques of mantra and visualisation the Medicine Buddha practice is an effective way to balance the physical, mental and spiritual health of ourselves and others. It can be of great help to all practitioners and particularly those in the medical profession. The Medicine Buddha aspiration is to remove the suffering of beings in general, but especially the physical and mental suffering caused through imbalance of the elements, which we know as physical and mental illness.
Lama Zangmo will give instructions on the Saturday, while Sunday will be a practice day led by the Samye Dzong Sangha. Please bring along the text (available from the shop).
From January 2015 all our Dharma and meditation courses will be offered without a suggested course fee.
In the Buddhist tradition one practices generosity, or Dana, by making monetary offerings for the teachings. This generosity is not payment for goods or services rendered; it is an offering given freely from the heart in appreciation of the Dharma.
Please read Lama Zangmo's letter for further information.
