WhoAnyone is welcome to attend this event!
On the 2018 Day of the Dead, Samye Dzong London will be hosting two Death Cafes, one from 3.00-4.30 pm and the second from 6.30-8.00 pm.
At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
The Death Cafe is offered:
- On a not for profit basis
- In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
- With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
- Alongside refreshing drinks and nourishing food – and cake!
Spaces are limited and you will need to book a seat in the Death Cafe. You can do this by emailing the office and stating which cafe you'd like to attend (3.00 pm or 6.30 pm).
