Full programme for the visit of Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche

We are delighted to welcome Choje Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, the Abbot of Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery, to Kagyu Samye Dzong London. This is an opportunity to receive meditation instructions and advice from a highly accomplished meditation Master who has spent many years in solitary retreat. He will be assisted over the weekend by Ani Lhamo, an experienced nun who has spent more than four years in retreat.

Lama Yeshe Rinpoche teaches from the Buddhist perspective on life and gives meditation instructions and practical advice on how to integrate the teachings into everyday life. His inspiring and joyful teachings help so many people develop confidence in their own potential and his example gives everyone hope and courage.

On Saturday there will be a Milarepa Tsok Puja and feast offering.  Offerings of food, drink and flowers for the event are welcome.

Refuge Ceremony

On Sunday at 2.00 pm there will be an explanation of what it means to take refuge, followed by a Refuge Ceremony for those wishing to formally become Buddhists.  Please let the office know in advance if you would like to take refuge. It is auspicious and meritorious to bring an offering and a white scarf (katta) to offer during the actual ceremony.

Course donations

From January 2015 all our Dharma and meditation courses will be offered without a suggested course fee.

In the Buddhist tradition one practices generosity, or Dana, by making monetary offerings for the teachings. This generosity is not payment for goods or services rendered; it is an offering given freely from the heart in appreciation of the Dharma.

Please read Lama Zangmo's letter for further information.
