A Day of Meditation on Chokhor Duchen - Friday 24th July

On the auspicious occasion of Chokhor Duchen (the anniversary of Shakyamuni Buddha's First Teaching), which this year falls on July 24th, 2020, we invite you to join the Samye Dzong London community online for a day dedicated to positive aspiration prayers and meditation practice.

Even if we are closed to the public due to the current corona virus, we can fortunately still join with fellow practitioners and meditate together online, which has become very helpful for many people around the world. Meditating with others in this way gives strength and a sense of community. It also helps those who would like to meditate more than they currently do.  Online sessions are maybe not the very best way to practice, but second best is still very helpful!

Lama Zangmo will lead the practice, and each session starts with the prayers mentioned below, available to download from our website.

Participants are welcome to join in as many sessions as they wish, but please keep the discipline of the sessions in the same way as you would if you were actually present in the shrineroom.
