with Ani Tsondru
Sun 17th Feb 10am-4pm £30
Meditation can allow us the space to see our situation and our problems more clearly. It can help us begin to understand the mind and how it works, both in itself and through our body and speech. These exercises from the book ‘Taming the Tiger’ are designed to provide a practical working basis towards that. Bring lunch to share.

GUASHA MASSAGE THERAPY FOR HOME USE:
with Mette Heinz
Sun 24th Feb 10am-5pm £60
Guasha is an aspect of Chinese Medicine. Massaging the body, using oil and a jade tool, clears stagnation and increases the blood circulation. It is very effective in treating pain as well as common ailments, and has traditionally been used as a home tool by families. The course will teach you how to apply the technique to yourself as well as others.
The workshop will look at fundamental meridian theory and when it is appropriate to apply guasha. We will then look at how to treat headaches, muscle and joint pain, coughs and colds, digestive problems, how to promote weight loss and reduce the effects of stress.
